Avon Wildlife Trusts Us (Podcast)

In the latest episode of Avon Wildlife Trust's Team Wilder Podcast, Ed, our local Wildlife Champion and part of our WECA Pollinator Project Team, shares his experiences and insights on the crucial work being done through the Project here at Redcatch Community Garden. This episode is part of the ongoing effort to raise awareness about the Team Wilder movement, which encourages people to notice and appreciate nature in their everyday lives.

Ed highlights the importance of green spaces, not just as places of beauty and relaxation but as vital ecosystems that support pollinators like bees, butterflies and other insects. These pollinators are essential for maintaining biodiversity and by creating and maintaining such spaces we contribute to their survival. Ed also emphasises the power of community and individual action (no matter how small) as a way to foster hope and make a tangible difference in our environment.

The podcast delves into the specific efforts of RCG and the broader work in the surrounding park, offering listeners practical advice on how they can support pollinators in their own lives. From planting native flowers to reducing pesticide use, there are numerous ways to get involved and help sustain these crucial species. 🐝🦋🪰🪲🪳
